A small elevator is also in operation. The elevator replacement has been completed.

Last year and this year, SÚZ VŠE carried out a major investment project: Replacing both elevators in Roosevelt’s dormitory with new ones.

• The small elevator is already in operation. Its replacement began in March 2025.
• A new main elevator has also been in operation since the end of February, the replacement of which began in December 2024.
• We believe that you have welcomed these changes, as they will contribute to a higher quality of living in Roosevelt’s dormitory.
• Take a look at the photo gallery and let’s try to keep these new elevators in this condition!
• We care about the maximum safety of all facilities in the dormitory. We apologize for the temporary decrease in comfort during the elevator replacement.

Here are a few points for elevator operation

• Never overload the elevator – Observe the maximum load capacity indicated in the elevator cabin. Overloading can cause a malfunction or jamming.
• Do not try to leave a stopped elevator yourself – If the elevator stops between floors, do not force the door open. Use the emergency call button and wait for help.
• Be careful when getting on and off – Make sure the elevator is level with the floor of the floor to prevent tripping or falling.
• Do not use the elevator in case of fire – In case of fire or other danger, use the stairs, as the elevator may get stuck or be out of order.
• Do not stand near the door or prevent it from closing – Do not put your hands, feet or objects between the closing doors to prevent injury or damage to the elevator.
• Report any malfunction and damage to SÚZ staff.
