Instructions for applying for accommodation for AY 2024/2025

The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) students are preferentially accommodated in the dormitories. Accommodation of other persons (students of VŠE with interrupted study, VŠE graduates, and students of other universities) will be possible only in the case of free capacity.

The applicant for accommodation must submit an online application to ISKAM (to the waiting list for the selected academic year). At the same time, a reservation deposit of CZK 8,000 must be paid.

Student of VŠE

If you want to be accommodated in dormitories during the academic year, it is necessary to follow these steps:

Enrollment in the study

- When enrolling in the study, you will receive the necessary login data (username and password for the InSIS study information system)
- Note: Admission to study is not the same as Enrollment

Submit an application for accommodation at ISKAM
- From May 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024 (you can also apply after June 30, but in this case, the room is allocated by Central Accommodation)
- Waiting list VŠE Praha studenti – VŠE students 2024/25. (Accommodation→Accommodation requests→waiting list)
- Information about dates for application submission and room selection can be found in the Timetable.
- Applying in ISKAM is possible one day after enrollment for the study at VŠE, using the allocated user’s name and password from InSIS
- The applicants admitted to studies at VŠE after June 30, 2024, may submit their applications for accommodation on the waiting list VŠE Praha studenti – VŠE students 2024/25 after June 30; see the Schedule

Pay the reservation deposit

- Deposit 8000 CZK must be paid by June 30, 2024, at the latest
- The reservation deposit will be transferred to the accommodation deposit on the move-in date at the latest. The accommodation deposit, or its part, may be used to cover any damage, debt, or possible sanctions. The deposit will be returned when you properly move out, in cash or by card at the dormitory office, or within 30 days after to the bank account you state in your ISKAM profile (for the foreign payment must be added administration fee of CZK 500). Upon moving out, the student agrees to how s/he wishes to return the deposit. The deposit may also be left in ISKAM account for the next academic year.

The payment can be made in the following ways:

- - Recommended: Payment via a payment portal in the ISKAM system. Card Accounts – Accommodation deposit – Charge.
  - Cashless bank transfer to the benefit of bank account no. 1793102/0800. For identification of your payment, using the variable symbol (VS). Each applicant shall find such VS in iskam-web.vse.cz in the Basic Information card (for the foreign payment must be added administration fee CZK 500)
  - Cash deposit in Czech crowns (CZK) through any bank for the benefit of bank account no. 1793102/0800. For identification of your payment, use the variable symbol (VS). Each applicant shall find such VS in iskam-web.vse.cz in the Basic Information.
  - Pay by card at the reception desk of any dormitory.

Any payment received from an abroad bank account without paid administrative fees will be lowered by the amount of fees incurred. We advise abroad students to allow for the handling fees and to increase the payment amount by a minimum of 500 CZK. This amount is deemed to be sufficient to cover abroad administrative fees. Any potential overpayment after the administrative fee deduction will be credited towards accommodation payments.

If you are no longer interested in accommodation, send a “Request for cancellation” through the ISKAM application (ISKAM → Accommodation applications → Waiting list → Cancellation request). The return of the deposit or its part depends on when you cancel the request (reservation). We, therefore, recommend that you carefully study the deadlines for cancelling your request/reservation. Choose the room

- - The student selects rooms in ISKAM (in the application) according to the Timetable. It is only possible for students who have submitted an application and paid the reservation deposit by 30.6. Applicants with applications submitted later do not have the option of choosing a room. They will be allocated accommodation by the Central Accommodation office.
  - Note: For operational reasons, Central Accommodation may change the reservation of the selected room.

Move into the dormitory
- - Dates and detailed information on moving in will be published during June and can be found here.
  - Moving into the dormitory takes place only on working days during office hours, and the resident’s personal attendance is required.

Student of other universities, VŠE graduate

Accommodation is only possible in case of free capacity after accommodating all students from VŠE, who have absolute priority. More information here.

If you want to be accommodated in VŠE dormitories in the academic year, it is necessary to:

Register in ISKAM
- Register at iskam-web.vse.cz. VŠE graduates use the login data for InSIS.
Submit an online „Request for accommodation. “
- Log in to the accommodation system iskam-web.vse.cz
- Submit the application in waiting list Ostatní žadatelé Praha – Other applicants 2024/25.
- Upload a scan of the study confirmation from the school you are currently studying in the accommodation application. Without this confirmation, it is not possible to accommodate students from other schools. Confirmation must not be older than one month.
